Emergency:

If you urgently need medical advice or treatment (but it is not an emergency) you should contact the 111 service by dialling 111. The service is there to deal with urgent problems which cannot wait until the Surgery is open again.

If you need emergency medical treatment, you must call 999. An emergency is when someone needs medical help to save their life.

You should call 111 if you think you need to go to A&E or another NHS urgent care service, if you don’t know who to call for medical help, or if you need information about a health issue.”

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
